Oletha is the car we wish BMW had built – an uncompromised synthesis of BMW’s greatest design, engineering, and racing achievements. We preserve the foundations of German engineering and precision while infusing American ingenuity and passion. We created this vehicle to provoke a tactile, unfiltered, and challenging driving experience. Oletha is our love letter to the BMW of our childhoods, a manifestation of our memories and dreams.

The specifications below reflect our basic framework for each bespoke build. Individual commissions are built to client specifications. Choices of components, materials, colors, and textures allow clients to tailor the vehicle's demeanor and purpose to their desires. We welcome any special requests requiring additional design and engineering efforts.

MOTOR - S54 6-cylinder

  • BMW S54 motor – naturally aspirated, 3.4 liter I6

  • 8,000 rpm redline, 400+ horsepower

  • Forged motor internals – crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods

  • Individual throttle bodies, electromechanically actuated

  • Carbon fiber composite intake manifold

  • Custom stainless steel and Inconel exhaust components

The driving experience is one dominated by sound. BMW’s S54 motors deliver a unique motorsport symphony from the carbon fiber intake manifold, six individual throttle bodies, and solid rocker arm valvetrain spinning to 8,000 rpm. The air surrounding our driver is fluid and dynamic, filled with a concoction of induction, exhaust, and mechanical pulsations.

CHASSIS CONTROL

  • Hydraulic rack and pinion steering rack – 12.8:1 ratio

  • KW 2-way adjustable suspension – stainless steel damper construction

  • Lightweight forged aluminum control arms

  • AP Racing brakes – lightweight forged Radi-CAL calipers, fully floating rotors

  • Forged and machined monoblock wheels

  • Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires standard

The chassis control systems of the vehicle are analogous to an athlete’s limbs, regulating the body’s movement through space. Lean yet muscular forgings can be seen under the skin – control arms, tie rods, brake calipers, wheels. We prefer simple mechanical systems, where the only sensors, control systems, and actuators are the human ones.

MOTOR

BODY

  • Carbon fiber composite body – toughened epoxy prepreg, autoclave cured

  • Compact vehicle footprint – 4,350 mm x 1,850 mm

  • 32,000 Newton-meter/degree torsional stiffness

  • Low profile electrically actuated rear spoiler

The body is sculpted classically but laminated meticulously from sophisticated carbon fiber composites. Clean and elegant design has been lost in modern automobiles, eradicated by aerodynamic efficiency and gaudy and frivolous styling elements. It is the body that imparts the vehicle with its split personality, concealing the aggression and performance beneath.
