Oletha is the car we wish BMW had built – an uncompromised synthesis of BMW’s greatest design, engineering, and racing achievements. We preserve the foundations of German engineering and precision while infusing American ingenuity and passion. We created this vehicle to provoke a tactile, unfiltered, and challenging driving experience. Oletha is our love letter to the BMW of our childhoods, a manifestation of our memories and dreams.

The specifications below reflect our basic framework for each bespoke build. Individual commissions are built to client specifications. Choices of components, materials, colors, and textures allow clients to tailor the vehicle's demeanor and purpose to their desires. We welcome any special requests requiring additional design and engineering efforts.

The gear shift is a wonderful and irreplaceable handshake that we exchange with the car. We express our different moods and emotions through the shift lever, and the car in turn becomes a partner in that expression. BMW’s finest motors, installed in the M3 CSL and M3 GTS, were sadly deprived of the joys of the manual transmission, as is nearly every car manufactured today.

The chassis control systems of the vehicle are analogous to an athlete’s limbs, regulating the body’s movement through space. Lean yet muscular forgings can be seen under the skin – control arms, tie rods, brake calipers, wheels. We prefer simple mechanical systems, where the only sensors, control systems, and actuators are the human ones.

The body is sculpted classically but laminated meticulously from sophisticated carbon fiber composites. Clean and elegant design has been lost in modern automobiles, eradicated by aerodynamic efficiency and gaudy and frivolous styling elements. It is the body that imparts the vehicle with its split personality, concealing the aggression and performance beneath.

The interior of a sports car must be purposeful and functional. Controls should be tactile, and fall naturally under the hands without distracting the eyes or mind. Digital displays and instrumentation are best left to appliances and consumer electronics.
